Overview:
The role requires a senior engineer to lead a team of engineers/graduates to support in managing the Geotechnical Construction Phase Support (CPS) on the HS2 route. The role will require managing the team delivering the Geotechnical CPS scope within a design area liaising with the technical lead and reporting to the Geotechnical CPS Discipline lead.
The role requires co-locating in the client's construction site offices on the eastern side of Birmingham at least 3 days per week.
In this role you will be supporting the contractor/ client on site managing issues that have arisen on site and supporting in validating design assumptions.
Responsibilities:
Working in collaboration with our designers and contract partners, the Senior Geotechnical Engineer will be involved in a variety of tasks such as:
·Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) - Secondary Assurance/Check
·Field Change Requests (FCRs)- Technical Support
·Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
·Instrumentation and Monitoring (I&M)
·Manage the undertaking of earthworks and geotechnical data logging
·Geotechnical Feedback Report (GFR)
