About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Traffic Signal Engineer to join a specialist team delivering intelligent transport and traffic management solutions across the UK. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a background in permanent traffic signals, looking to apply their expertise in a dynamic, nationwide environment.

Working as part of a small, close-knit team, you’ll support the delivery, installation, and operation of advanced temporary traffic control systems that mirror permanent signals in design and function. You’ll liaise directly with clients, carry out technical work on-site, and play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable transport solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel across the UK to conduct inspections, surveys, Site Acceptance Tests, and customer meetings (overnight stays may be required).
  • Provide technical support, including remote fault diagnosis and equipment inspections.
  • Undertake repairs, maintenance, and fault-finding on traffic signal equipment.
  • Update and maintain project documentation using Microsoft Teams.
  • Work closely with customers, delivering clear communication and professional support.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Solid understanding of UK traffic signal design standards and fundamentals.
  • Ability to interpret signal layout drawings.
  • Proven track record in Site Acceptance Testing.
  • Skilled in diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of signal equipment.
