Job Opportunity: Avionics Mechanic

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Avionics Mechanics to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and technical environment, supporting essential aircraft modifications and maintenance activities.



Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Carry out modifications and maintenance in accordance with approved drawings and maintenance data, taking full accountability for the technical integrity of all work performed.

  • All tasks will be assigned by the Lead Technician or B2 Engineer.

  • You will be expected to provide regular updates on any issues affecting the work plan, including proposed solutions or recommendations where applicable.

  • Any unsafe conditions must be promptly reported to the Lead Technician or B2 Engineer, as well as through the appropriate internal reporting channels.

  • Precise wiring terminations and testing.

  • Removal and installation of various shelves, panels and equipment.

  • Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and regulatory requirements.

  • Loom Manufacture and testing.

  • Support avionics system testing, validation, and troubleshooting.

  • Maintain the highest standards of tool control within the work area.

  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.



Skills and Abilities

  • Completed an engineering apprenticeship - ideally in Aeronautical engineering or military equivalent

  • Previous aircraft modification experience

  • Previous aircraft production experience is advantageous

  • Excellent hand skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Eligible to work and live in the UK

  • Subject to UK security Vetting

  • Excellent knowledge of Avionics systems

  • Reliability

  • Adaptability

  • Good interpersonal skills



Part-145 Training Requirements

  • Initial Human Factors; Continuation Training Human Factors

  • Initial SFAR phase 1&2; Continuation Training SFAR phase 1&2

  • Initial EWIS group 1&2 (including EWIS group 1 Module G (Practical)); Continuation Training EWIS group 1&2

  • ETOPS

  • RVSM
