The ideal candidate will have intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
A background in Finance/AccountsAdministration or Data Administration would be preferred, however strong Administrators who are comfortable with use of Excel and a willingness to learn will also be considered.
You will be responsible for providing support across all operational finance processes. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain further experience and develop your skills across the whole of the finance function, to include data analysis.
Starting salary of £26,000 depending on experience.
The successful Finance Administrator will be required to:-
- Perform all core transactional finance processes, including purchase ledger, credit control, expenses, and fleet administration.
- Provide sickness and absence cover across all finance team roles.
- Input data accurately and reconcile.
- Maintain and update supplier and customer account data on system.
- Process supplier invoices and credit notes.
- Assist with payment run preparation, remittances, and supplier queries.
- Support credit control functions.
- Produce and distribute financial reports.
- Monitor budgets.
- Support the development of enhanced data analysis and reporting.
- Ensure all information is recorded accurately.
- Provide basic IT support for finance systems and processes.
The Finance Administrator will have:-
- Experience in a Financial administration role, with exposure to purchase ledger, credit control, and general financial processes.
- Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel – to intermediate level - and comfortable working with data.
- Ability to learn and keen to develop in new areas, to include data analysis and IT processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good time management ability, with the ability to work to deadlines.
- Strong IT skills.
- Methodical approach.
- Problem solving ability.
- Ability to work using own initiative and under supervision.
- A desire to work as part of a team, with a collaborative mindset.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
- A good level of secondary education, in particular numeracy and literacy.
- AAT qualification (desirable but not essential.)
- Knowledge of VAT and financial compliance (desirable.)
- Experience with finance systems / platforms (desirable.)
- Basic IT troubleshooting skills (desirable.)
- Experience or interest in data analysis (desirable.)
- Understanding of operational fleet and expenses processes (desirable.)
