Sales Development Representative Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire sales cycle, from identifying prospective customers and generating leads to converting and closing sales
- Generate high-quality leads by engaging prospective customers via phone calls, face-to-face meetings, networking, trade events, and targeted marketing campaigns
- Undertake research to identify prospective businesses that would benefit from the company's offering, and to develop a strong sales pipeline
- Maximise sales conversion rates by following up with prospective business customers and referrals, and promoting products and services, using a tailored approach
- Regularly engage with existing and prospective customers to foster and maintain close-knit relationships
- Act as the main point of contact for businesses, offering your support where necessary and working closely with the account management team to ensure a seamless onboarding experience
- Update the CRM with sales, engagement, and pipeline information to gather data and insights to inform future strategies and identify areas of improvement
- Represent the company at events, networking events, and trade shows and deliver engaging sales presentations to raise awareness and generate leads
Sales Development Representative Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in business development and lead generation is essential, with a strong advantage given to candidates with a background in B2B or membership sales
- A demonstrable track record of building a robust client portfolio, identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, and successfully converting them into sales
- Customer-focused and adept at developing lasting professional relationships, with confidence in engaging stakeholders at all levels
- An articulate communicator and confident public speaker, experienced in creating and delivering compelling sales presentations
- Commercially astute, target-driven, and resilient, thriving in a fast-paced sales environment with a consistent ability to meet and exceed targets
- Technically proficient, with solid experience using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and LinkedIn; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
- Willing to travel for meetings and events; a driving license is preferred but not essential
