Delivery Driver - 3.5 ton

Starting salary £31,750 per annum.

£33,500 per annum after 6 months’ probation.

£250 quarterly bonus scheme after 6 months’ probation

£1,000 Service Bonus after 3 years service.

Summary

We are seeking a reliable Delivery Driver to join our team at NHW Ltd. Based in Aston, Birmingham, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely delivery of food products to our valued customers. Your contributions will directly impact our reputation for excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a delivery van to transport food products to various locations.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and storage during transit.
• Communicate effectively with regular customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and inventory levels.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs.
• Completing paperwork and cash handling.

Hours & Shifts

• Alternative 5/6 day week
• Every alternative Tuesdays off
• Must work every Saturday or Sunday
• 6:00am start for the first three months (training) then 7:30am start.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy items up to 25kg safely and efficiently.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
• Attention to detail .
• Reliable, honest and trustworthy
