CLASS 2 DRIVER

MONDAY - FRIDAY: START TIMES 03:00 - 08.00 Days

MONDAY - FRIDAY: START TIMES 14:00 - 18:00 Days

PAY RATES: £14.00- £16.00 PER HOUR

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in ASTON, WEST MIDLANDS.

Rates of Pay

• Basic: £14.00 per hour for days
• Basic: £16.00 per hour for evenings

Day to Day Duties

Your duties as a Class 2 Driver will involve but not limited to:

• RDC or CUSTOMER Deliveries which WILL involve handball (working on curtain-side and tail lifts)
• Operate and drive various Class 2 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, to and from delivery locations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
• Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed

Essential Skills

As a Class 2 Driver you will need to:

• Hold a valid UK Category C Licence
• Have a minimum of 24 months experience driving Category C vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
• Have a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card
• Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
• Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
• Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
• Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience

• Experience driving any commercial vehicles
• Previous experience with multi drop deliveries

Training

• Driver's Assessment must be completed
• Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
