As a Chef, you will be working in a school environment, assisting the Chef Manager in the running of the kitchen operations. As a team you will be responsible for providing meals to students.
Key responsibilities:
- To support the Chef Manager with the day to day operations of the kitchen
- Support in the preparation and cooking of school meals for students to a high standard
- Ensuring meals are cooked following all food hygiene and food safety protocols, adhering to any allergen and dietary requirements.
- Ensure all health safety protocols are followed, keeping all catering areas clean
- Support in the planning of menus to meet all dietary requirements
- Support the Chef Manager in the supervision and training of the catering team
About You:
- Experience in a similar environment, ideally within education catering
- Strong understanding of health & safety and food hygiene
- Excellent communication and management skills
- Experience handling allergen protocols
- Food Hygiene certifications
- Enhanced DBS disclosure
