As an engineering recruiter working closely with a leading organisation in the defence and remanufacturing sector, I'm excited to present an opportunity for a highly skilled Master Technician to join a specialist team in Coventry. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical background, a meticulous approach to quality, and experience working to MOD or OE specifications.

You'll be responsible for the full lifecycle of mechanical product assessment, rebuild, and testing-playing a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of critical components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and strip down mechanical products in accordance with detailed internal work instructions.
  • Follow MOD-specific requirements, including component traceability and strip/survey reporting.
  • Evaluate components to determine fitness for purpose and identify any faults.
  • Record additional Bill of Materials (BOM) requirements and maintain accurate job documentation.
  • Rebuild and test products to OE or AESP specifications, ensuring compliance and performance.
  • Collaborate with the Workshop Supervisor to report issues and follow technical guidance.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship while working efficiently to meet production targets.
  • Adhere strictly to company health & safety, quality, and operational procedures.
  • Accurately record job activities daily using the internal E10 system.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in engine fitting, mechanical assembly, or remanufacturing roles.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Clear communication skills-both written and verbal.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel-or a willingness to train.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and a commitment to continuous learning.
