Description

As the Head of IT Service, you will have a range of responsibilities, working closely with the IT Director and wider leadership team. The key areas will include:

  • Leading with purpose - You'll manage and support a dedicated IT Service function, creating a positive, collaborative culture where people thrive and feel proud of the work they do.

  • Bringing out the best in our suppliers - You'll work closely with the organisation's third-party vendors, holding them to high standards and building strong partnerships that deliver maximum value.

  • Keeping things running smoothly - From infrastructure to core business applications, including Office365, you'll make sure the company's systems are stable, secure, and always evolving to meet future needs.

  • Planning for tomorrow - You'll shape business cases for new initiatives, showing how IT can enable growth, efficiency, and real value across the organisation.

  • Protecting what matters - Cybersecurity and data protection will be a central focus, and you'll lead the charge in keeping integral systems and information safe.

  • Managing wisely - You'll oversee budgets, make smart decisions about resourcing, and help ensure the business gets the most from its investments.

  • Owning vendor relationships - You'll have a clear view of supplier landscape and contracts, making sure the organisation is consistently staying proactive and informed in every engagement.

Profile

As the successful candidate for the Head of IT Service role, you will have the following experience:

  • Proven experience in IT leadership - You will have successfully managed IT operations and service delivery, especially in dynamic, fast-paced, enterprise-scale environments where things move quickly and change is a constant.

  • ITIL expertise - You will have a proven background of leading within ITIL environments, and ideally hold industry-relevant ITIL accreditations.

  • Adaptable and solutions-focused - You approach challenges with a calm and practical mindset, always finding ways to adapt, solve problems, and keep things moving forward.
