About the National Sales Manager job

The purpose of your role will be to take responsibility for acquiring new customers and expanding your client base within the UK market. Your key responsibilities will include identifying sales opportunities, strengthening existing client relationships, and leveraging your established network within the food manufacturing sector.

Key tasks

  • Set sales goals using market data, analyse sales trends, track performance, and prepare forecasts and reports.
  • Acquire, approve and manage large client contracts within the UK manufacturing sector, network with potential partners, and create presentations for key stakeholders.
  • Manage sales budgets, review marketing strategies, and develop and implement sales policies and procedures.

About You

  • The successful candidate shall have a minimum 3 years of sales experience in the B2B food manufacturing sector particularly with a strong background selling into manufacturers within Ready Meals, Sandwiches, Pizza, Prepared Foods sectors.
  • Proven ability in business development, negotiation, and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets as well as a strong understanding of industry trends and products.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in sales forecasting and reporting; a bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

More details

The National Sales Manager - B2Bjob (ref: 8879) pays c. £70,000 according to your experience. Initially the role will be office based for up to 2 days per week.

The role is based in West Midlands and is commutable from Birmingham, Derby, Northampton, Gloucester, Manchester, Worcester, Leicester, Stoke on Trent, Crewe, Shrewsbury and surrounding towns.

The package includes Car allowance, Commission & bonus scheme, Pension, Laptop, Mobile, 23 days holiday + bank holidays.

The working hours are Monday to Friday - office hours.
