As part of the growth strategy, they are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Director to lead our business development efforts and secure new business contracts across key Retailers and Grocery accounts.

Description

As the Sales Director, you will be responsible for driving the sales strategy for winning new Retail/ Grocery contracts selling a service/ NOT goods for resale. You will play a pivotal role in identifying and securing new business opportunities, managing relationships with potential clients, and leading a team to achieve sales targets. This is a high-impact role that requires strong leadership, negotiation, and strategic thinking to drive revenue growth in a competitive marketplace.

  • New Business Acquisition: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including securing long-term contracts with key retail/ grocery businesses.

  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies that align with company objectives.

  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.

  • Leadership: Lead, coach, and motivate a sales team to achieve revenue goals and improve overall sales performance.

  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to understand trends, competitor activity, and potential areas of growth.

  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate and close deals, ensuring terms are favourable and aligned with company goals.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to ensure successful implementation and delivery of contracted services.

  • Team management: Responsible for 4 direct report (line managers)

  • Proven track record in sales and business development within Retail/ Grocery

  • Strong ability to win new business contracts and expand client portfolios.

  • Excellent leadership skills, with experience managing and motivating sales teams.
