Role: Senior Commercial Category Manager
Location: Birmigham / Hybrid - Required in Midlands two days a week min
Salary: 90,000 + Benefits Package
As Senior Commercial Category Manager, you will be responsible for setting and executing category vision, working closely with C-suite stakeholders to influence business direction. You will lead commercial strategy, pricing, and product lifecycle management, ensuring that our portfolio achieves both revenue and market share objectives.We are looking for somone that has the experience in leading cross functional delivery of new product development, to deliver outstadning customer outcomes, whilst enhancing the operating model.
We are looking for someone that has proven experience in managing services and digital products as a unified approach, involvingapplying product management principles to both traditional services and digital offerings. Focusing on user needs, market trends, and business objectives to optimise the delivery and experience of both.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and develop the commercial category strategy, driving revenue, margin growth, and profitability.
- Lead cross-functional delivery of New Product Development to ensure we deliver outstanding customer outcomes whilst enhancing our operating model
- Lead and manage high-value product portfolios, optimising pricing, positioning, and sales strategy.
- Drive category performance through data-driven insights, identifying market trends and opportunities.
- Partner with sales, marketing, and finance teams to develop go-to-market strategies and growth initiatives.
- Influence senior stakeholders and board-level executives, providing strategic recommendations for category expansion.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration, ensuring alignment between product, sales, and customer strategy.
- Manage supplier and partner relationships to enhance category performance
- Accountable for KPIs that directly influence financial performance. These KPIs will be aligned to the business objectives.
Experience & Skills Required
- Proven experience in a senior-level category management and commercial leadership role that includes digital product management.
- A track record of delivering revenue growth, margin improvement, and strategic category success.
- Strong understanding of P&L ownership, product lifecycle management, and commercial strategy.
- Proven experience in managing Service and Digital as a product. Product management principles, digital product management, service management.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into actionable business strategies. Using this data to make rapid itertaions and experimentation.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and leadership skills, capable of influencing at C-suite level.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment.
- Experience in security solutions, rental businesses with a construction focus is highly desirable.
