Principal Civil Engineer

Our client is are specialists in transport planning and infrastructure design and they are seeking a Senior or Principal Civil Engineer to join their expanding Infrastructure Team in Birmingham.

Key Responsibilities:
As part of the multidisciplinary Infrastructure team, you will take the lead on a broad range of development-related infrastructure projects, from concept through to delivery. Your core responsibilities will include:
路Preliminary and Detailed Junction Design to DMRB and Manual for Streets standards
路Preparation of Adoptable Highway Designs under S278 and S38 Agreements
路Coordination and technical input into Road Safety Audits (Stages 1-4)
路Adoptable Drainage Designs in accordance with S104 and S185
路Delivery of Private Drainage Solutions compliant with Building Regulations Part H
路Development of effective and sustainable SuDS Drainage Strategies
路Production of comprehensive Flood Risk Assessments (FRA)
路Design of Attenuation Structures and surface water management features
路Integration of BIM and 3D Modelling into infrastructure and drainage designs
What We're Looking For:
This position would suit a degree-qualified Civil Engineer with significant UK experience in development-led infrastructure. Key skills and experience include:
路Chartered or working towards Chartership (ICE or equivalent)
路Strong technical background in highways and drainage design
路Proficiency with design software including Civil 3D, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage, and AutoCAD
路Sound knowledge of relevant regulations and industry best practices
路Ability to manage and deliver multiple projects to deadlines and budget
路Clear and confident communicator with experience of liaising with clients, local authorities, and multidisciplinary teams
