In this role, full teacher/assessor training will be provided. You'll be delivering classroom and workshop sessions to apprentices, as well as assessing their practical skills and progress.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Rolling Stock - such as trains, carriages, locomotives etc - and hold a Level 3 Engineering qualification. You don't need teaching experience; the college will fully support you with training and qualifications.

The Role:

  • Full teacher & assessor training provided
  • Deliver training to apprentices in Rail Engineering
  • Carry out progress reviews and practical assessments
  • Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

The Person:

  • Background in Rail Engineering
  • Experience working on Rolling Stock (e.g. trains, carriages, locomotives)
  • Level 3 Qualification (or equivalent)
  • No teaching or assessing experience required
