Join a world-class project controls team delivering some of the UK’s most high-profile transportation infrastructure projects. We are seeking a Senior Planner with a strong background in transportation, particularly within rail and highways, to support a range of complex, multidisciplinary programmes.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Take ownership of project scheduling and controls for major infrastructure projects (up to £50m).

  • Develop and maintain detailed project and tender programmes using Primavera P6.

  • Implement Earned Value Management (EVM) and provide insightful reports on performance and progress.

  • Identify and mitigate schedule risks, delays, and changes, and provide strategic advice to project leadership.

  • Lead project controls meetings, support client reporting, and guide junior planners.

  • Liaise closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure accurate and realistic scheduling.

 

Essential Requirements: 

  • Proven experience planning and controlling large transportation projects.

  • Strong understanding of transportation technologies: Signalling, Track, Structures, E&P, Telecoms, etc.

  • Expert in Primavera P6 and familiar with enterprise-level systems and project management tools.

  • Working knowledge of NEC contracts, risk/cost analysis, claims management, and Work Package Management.

  • Skilled communicator with experience presenting to senior stakeholders and clients.

  • Preferred: Engineering qualification (Mechanical/Civil), APM membership.
