Skilled Careers is recruiting for a Site Engineer in Birmingham City Centre for a £70m project.

Role Overview:
You’ll be an essential part of the construction process, ensuring the smooth execution of all engineering tasks on-site. This includes working closely with the site manager, consultants, and subcontractors to deliver a quality build on time and to spec.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day site operations and ensure construction activities follow plans and specs.
Monitor structural and architectural works with a focus on quality and safety.
Coordinate with design teams, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve technical issues.
Maintain site records, progress reports, and quality documentation.
Support in inspections and handovers at various construction stages.
Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, safety standards, and building regulations.
Implement and maintain quality assurance procedures.

What We’re Looking For:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 4 years’ experience on multi-storey or high-rise residential projects.
Solid understanding of structural works, concrete frameworks, MEP coordination, and finishes.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
Strong communication and site coordination skills.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office, and relevant project management software.
