You'll be joining a respected Housing Association committed to delivering positive property management services and investing in the long-term sustainability of its homes. This role gives you the chance to lead a wide range of planned and major works while helping shape future asset management strategy. As part of this, the Building Surveyor will play a key role in ensuring compliance and quality across all programmes.

As a Building Surveyor, you will be:
- Leading and delivering a range of investment and major works projects including kitchens and bathrooms, ensuring high-quality outputs, value for money, and strong resident satisfaction
- Managing day-to-day technical operations including disrepair, damp & mould assessments, and insurance-related works
- Undertaking stock condition surveys, capturing accurate data, estimating lifecycle costs, and feeding asset information into long-term investment planning
- Inspecting and managing remedial works associated with building safety, including FRA actions and compliance-related programmes
- Preparing specifications, contract documents, and tender packages for planned and cyclical maintenance programmes
- Monitoring contractor performance through regular site visits, meetings, and robust documentation
- Supporting decarbonisation programmes and completing retrofit surveys to help improve energy efficiency across the stock
- Providing technical advice relating to structural issues, building pathology, disrepair cases, and litigation matters
- Contributing to the ongoing development and implementation of the organisation's Asset Management Strategy
We'd love to speak to anyone who has:
- A qualification such as HNC (or equivalent) in a building or construction-related discipline
- Experience delivering major works and managing complex planned maintenance programmes
- Strong knowledge of building safety legislation, compliance, and asset management principles
- Experience completing stock condition surveys and analysing lifecycle data
- Expertise diagnosing building defects including damp, mould, structural issues, and disrepair
- Knowledge of Decent Homes standards, HHSRS, CDM 2015, Asbestos regulations, fire safety regulations, and accessibility requirements

This role is offering a competitive salary of 35-40K annually
Location & Travel
- This Building Surveyor role is based in the West Midlands, providing easy access across the region. Travel is required for site inspections, meetings, and project management activities, with mileage claimable.
