Our client, a key player in the water sector, is currently seeking experienced Civil Design Engineers to join their team in Birmingham. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects, including both clean and waste water projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing civil works for water-related projects
- Collaborating on multiple frameworks such as STW, Thames, Anglian, Southern, and Southwest Water
- Preparing detailed design calculations and drawings
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
- Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams across different locations, including Exeter, Brighton, Birmingham, Bristol, London, Newcastle, and Liverpool
- Adhering to project timelines and budgets
- Ensuring accurate documentation and reporting for all design activities
- Participating in stakeholder meetings and providing technical input
Job Requirements:
- Experience in civil engineering design within the water sector
- Strong understanding of infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects
- Proficiency in relevant design software and tools
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment
- Willingness to start as soon as possible and work inside IR35
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
