Brake Press Setter / Operator

Pay Rate: 13.00 - 16.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: Full-time

We are currently seeking an experienced Brake Press Setter / Operator to join a busy manufacturing environment specialising in high-quality sheet metal and fabricated products. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with long-term prospects for the right candidate.

The successful applicant will be responsible for setting, operating, and programming press brake machines to produce bespoke and repeat components to a high standard, working with a range of materials and thicknesses.

• Set and operate CNC press brake machines to produce precision sheet metal components
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and bending schedules
• Select appropriate tooling and carry out machine setups for various jobs
• Adjust and program machine parameters to meet quality and dimensional requirements
• Work with materials such as mild steel, aluminium, and stainless steel
• Carry out first-off inspections and ongoing quality checks during production
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health & safety standards
• Meet production targets while maintaining high quality and accuracy
• Report any machine faults, quality issues, or material discrepancies
• Work closely with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth workflow

• Proven experience as a press brake setter/operator (CNC preferred)
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Good knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good time management and organisational skills
• Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Experience with Amada, Trumpf, or similar CNC press brake machines
• Basic programming experience
• Background in architectural metalwork or fabrication
