About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our team in Wolverhampton. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CAD/CAM programming, with proven expertise in 2D and 3D modelling. You will be responsible for creating, modifying, and optimizing CNC programs to ensure efficient and precise manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM software for milling, turning, and multi-axis machining.
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to produce accurate 2D and 3D models.
- Set up and operate CNC machines when required to validate programs.
- Collaborate with design engineers and production teams to improve manufacturing processes.
- Conduct test runs and troubleshoot issues to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Maintain documentation of programs, tooling, and setup sheets.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and company procedures.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam, Fusion 360).
- Strong understanding of 2D and 3D modelling techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Knowledge of various CNC machines and controls (e.g., Fanuc,).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
