We are in search of a dedicated CNC Setter/Operator to join our Engineering & Manufacturing department, focusing on delivering high-quality industrial and manufacturing solutions within our Birmingham base.

Description
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.
- Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
- Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
- Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
- Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
- Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
- Report any issues or malfunctions to the Engineering & Manufacturing department.
- Keep records of operations, maintenance and relevant data in logbooks.
Profile
A successful CNC Setter/Operator should have:
- Proficiency in operating CNC machinery and tooling.
- Experience and knowledge of working in a similar role within a precision engineering/manufacturing environment is desirable.
- Experience and knowledge of setting and operating CNC Machinery
- Experience in 5 axis machining / Mill turns.
- MAZAK machining experience (preferred but not essential)
- Use of Mazatrol
- Use of FANUC controls
- Experience of one-off production
- Tooling measurement experience
Job Offer
- A competitive salary ranging from £32,000 to £38,000 ( + 16.6% shift allowance)
- Rotating day shift pattern (Week 1 6am - 1pm) (Week 2 1pm - 9pm)
