Our client in the Birmingham area is looking for a CNC Setter / Operator / Programmer to join their fun and vibrant team due to continued business growth!

  • Hours: Monday to Thursday - 07:30am to 16:45pm / Friday - 07:30am to 15:00pm

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operating, setting and programming of Mazak and Fanuc CNC machinery.
  • Program, set and operate the CNC machinery according to provided drawings.
  • Setting tooling / work-holding for jobs.
  • Operating CNC machines, ensuring parts are to drawing and making any adjustments necessary to program.
  • Operate fixed-head and sliding-head machinery.
  • Changing out jobs, material and tooling for production
  • Managing day-to-day production activities.
  • Producing components efficiently to the required standards.
  • Ensuring aspects of machine shop such as tooling, work holding and planning are continually developed.

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years proven experience in a similar role/similar industry essential
  • Experience operating twin-turret and twin-spindle machinery.
  • Mazak and Fanuc experience is essential.
  • Experience programming on Mazatrol and Fanuc.
  • Experience with machining various materials such as Plastic, Stainless steel, Brass and Titanium.
