Our client is a successful and well-established manufacturer. They are looking for a Laser Operator / Laser Machine Operative with an in-date FLT license to join their team. Â You will be responsible for operating a laser cutting machine to produce high-quality components.
This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with various materials, particularly sheet metal. The Laser Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring that production meets the required specifications and quality standards.
PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
- You have an in-date Counterbalance FLT license, with Forklift Truck experience.
- Proficient in operating laser cutting machinery with a strong understanding of its mechanics.
- Experience working with sheet metal.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Familiarity with hand tools and tooling techniques relevant to the fabrication process.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
Salary and Benefits:
- Salary £28,000
- Hours of work 6.40am - 4.45pm, Monday -ThursdayÂ

Responsibilities:
- Operating Laser machinery
- Loading and unloading sheet metal using a Forklift Truck
- Ensure area and machinery is kept clean and tidy
- Carry our routine inspections of cut components to ensure accuracy and consistency
- De-burring of parts to maintain a high standard finish
- Control stock levels and rotation of sheet material
- Ensure parts being programmed are to the latest drawings
- Liaise with engineering department to update drawings where required
- Communicate daily with other dept managers
- Assist with the development of the re-ordering process
- Manage all machinery consumables
- Assisting with repairing & checking picking kits, wrapping, loading and unloading
This job will suit someone with an in-date Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck license, with experience in a Laser Machine operation role, has been used; e.g. Laser Setter / Laser Machine Operative / Lazer Operative / Lazer Operator / Laser Machinist / similar role.
