PSR Solutions are working with a market leading contractor within the Demolition Sector to recruit an Estimator to Join their Pre-Construction team on a permanent basis. This role will be based in the Birmingham.
Estimator Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead the estimating function for Demolition projects.
- Review tender documentation, drawings, and specifications to fully understand project requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates including materials, plant, labour, subcontractors, and preliminaries.
- Identify and evaluate project risks, opportunities, and value engineering options.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractor and supplier enquiries, ensuring competitive quotations are obtained.
- Lead tender adjudication meetings, presenting costs, risks, and commercial considerations to senior management.
- Support bid submissions with written methodology, programme input, and supporting documentation.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners during pre- and post-tender negotiations.
- Ensure all estimating activities are carried out in compliance with company procedures.
- Support handover to operations teams on successful tenders, ensuring clarity of scope, risks, and assumptions.
- Mentor and support junior estimators within the department.
Estimator Requirements
- Proven experience in demolition estimating
- Strong commercial and technical understanding
- Ability to assess complex projects and work collaboratively with delivery teams
