General Cover Supervisor Roles - Secondary Schools - South Birmingham - Full-Time - Term-Time Only - From 110 per day

Are you looking to gain hands-on experience in secondary education while making a real impact across a variety of school settings? Long Term Futures is working closely with several inclusive and high-performing schools in South Birmingham to recruit enthusiastic Cover Supervisors who are ready to step into the classroom and support learning across a broad curriculum.

This role is ideal for aspiring teachers, recent graduates, or experienced educators who enjoy variety and thrive in fast-paced environments.



The Role:

  • Position: General Cover Supervisor

  • Location: South Birmingham (various secondary school sites)

  • Start Date: September or sooner

  • Hours: Full-time, term-time only

  • Pay: From 110 per day



Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering pre-set lesson materials during teacher absences

  • Maintaining classroom behaviour in line with school expectations

  • Ensuring pupils remain engaged and focused on their work

  • Supporting students of varying ability levels across KS3 and KS4

  • Reporting any concerns or feedback to relevant teaching staff

  • Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment



What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience working with young people in an educational or youth-based setting

  • Confident communication and classroom management skills

  • Adaptability to work across a range of schools and subject areas

  • Resilient, dependable, and able to remain calm under pressure

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
