This organisation partners with major manufacturers and blue-chip businesses nationwide to deliver innovative, environmentally responsible waste solutions. With ambitious growth plans and a strong reputation for service, they're now looking for a Head of Health, Safety and Environment to shape the next phase of their journey.

This is a key leadership role where you'll drive strategy, lead a dedicated HSE team and influence safety culture across a network of operational sites. Working closely with the Director of HSE and senior leadership team, you'll play a pivotal part in ensuring compliance, continuous improvement, and a proactive, people-first approach to health and safety.

Responsibilities of the Head of Health, Safety and Environment will include:

  • Lead and deliver the HSE strategy aligned with business objectives
  • Ensure compliance across all operations through robust systems, audits, and reviews
  • Champion a proactive safety culture through engagement, training, and leadership
  • Oversee incident investigations, embedding lessons learned across sites
  • Develop and motivate the HSE team to drive performance and continuous improvement
  • Use data and insights to enhance HSE processes and performance

The successful Head of Health, Safety and Environment will have:

  • Senior HSE leadership experience within complex operational or high-risk environments
  • Strong understanding of HSE legislation and compliance frameworks
  • Proven ability to influence, engage and build credibility at all levels of an organisation
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused approach to developing culture and capability
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and ideally an environmental qualification
