Regional Contractor

I am looking for a Contract Manager to look after a series of Demolition type contracts for a longstanding client I've been working with. There are a host of new works to get involved with due to the scope of the company and resource. There will also be plenty of opportunity for progression in this role as this is a PERMANENT role.

Job responsibilties:

  • Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop detailed demolition plans and schedules, coordinating with clients, engineers, and site teams.

  • Contract Management: Review, negotiate, and manage demolition contracts, ensuring compliance with legal, safety, and environmental regulations.

  • Budget & Cost Control: Monitor project budgets, control costs, and ensure projects are delivered within financial targets.

  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all demolition activities comply with health and safety regulations (e.g., CDM Regulations in the UK, OSHA in the US), including preparing risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).

  • Liaison & Communication: Act as the main point of contact between clients, subcontractors, local authorities, and internal teams.

  • Team Management: Oversee site managers, operatives, and subcontractors; allocate resources and manage staff performance.

  • Permit & Licensing: Obtain necessary permits and ensure legal and environmental obligations are met, including waste management and asbestos handling (if applicable).

  • Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management and clients on project status, risks, and milestones.

  • Problem Solving: Address any site issues, delays, or emergencies quickly and effectively.

  • Quality Control: Ensure demolition work meets industry standards and client specifications.

The ideal candidate:

  • MUST HAVE - 4 years + experience in Demolition projects.
  • Ideally previous CM experience, at minimum to be a competent PM running multiple jobs looking for a step up.
  • Keen to show initiative, travel when needed and to be client facing
