Overview:We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join a busy, dynamic media and publishing business based in Birmingham city centre. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in credit control who thrives in a high-volume, target-driven environment. Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and collect customer accounts efficiently. 
  • Take ownership of your own ledger section. 
  • Meet and deliver agreed collection targets. 
  • Control and monitor daily debt activity. 
  • Monitor cash allocation and take corrective action where necessary. 
  • Ensure all processes align with the company’s credit policy. 
  • Escalate serious issues to the Team Leader or Credit Manager. 
  • Complete daily tasks such as resolving unallocated cash, clearing accounts off dispute, and following up with customers who have missed payments. 
Skills Acquired:
  • Experience managing higher-value accounts in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong understanding of finance and account management principles. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systems. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse international clients. 
  • Organisational skills and adaptability to handle new challenges daily. 
  • Knowledge of media or publishing processes (advantageous but not essential). 
Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday, on-site in Birmingham.
