Job Title: Customer Service Advisor - University of Nottingham Admissions and Registration

Location: Remote (UK)

Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour

Contract Details: Temporary contract from W/C 30th June to W/C 6th October.

Training: Full training Provided; Must be available for training dates and on 14th & 15th August.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist prospective students and parents with university applications and queries via phone.
  • Provide accurate and empathetic information about the admissions and application processes.
  • Ensure a professional and supportive customer experience at all times.
  • Record and manage information in compliance with data protection requirements.
  • Thrive in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment.
  • Support new team members during peak Clearing week.

Person Specification:

  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
  • Strong customer service skills with a compassionate approach.
  • Ability to remain calm and resilient under pressure.
  • High level of spoken and written communication.
  • Available for the full duration of the assignment.
  • Proficient in using PCs and general IT systems, including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Previous experience in a similar customer advisor role is essential.

Technical Requirements:

  • Personal device running Windows 10 or above (Apple devices, Chromebooks, and tablets not compatible).
  • Up-to-date antivirus software installed.
  • Functioning headset (speakers not permitted).
  • Access to a quiet, distraction-free working environment.
