I'm working with a long standing client of mine who are looking for a Document Controller for a construction company based in Birmingham. This allows you to put you detail-oriented, organisation and document management skills to the test. They are looking for a skilled Document Controller to join a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all project documentation
- Control document distribution to project teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring version control is maintained.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather and update project information promptly.
- Monitor document control processes to ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
- Support audit processes by preparing and providing documentation as required.
- Assist in the development and implementation of document control systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Track document revisions, deadlines, and approvals, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive documents and data.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience as a Document Controller or in a similar administrative role within construction or engineering industries.
- Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in document management software (e.g., Aconex, Procore, SharePoint) and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
- A proactive approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
