Position Overview:

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking passionate and adaptable ECTs to join our team and work in a variety of schools across South Birmingham. As an ECT, you will have the opportunity to gain experience teaching in different year groups, collaborate with experienced educators, and enhance your pedagogical skills. This position is ideal for ECTs who are looking to expand their teaching practice, build a strong foundation in their career, and secure a long-term role upon completing their ECT program. Applicants will also be considered who have completed their teaching degrees but are yet to receive their QTS for unqualified teaching positions until the end of the academic year.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach in different year groups across a variety of schools in South Birmingham.
  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Collaborate with school staff and mentors to develop effective teaching strategies.
  • Establish positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to promote growth and achievement.
  • Attend professional development sessions and actively engage in reflective practice.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Completion of an accredited teacher training program leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • NQT (Newly Qualified Teacher) or ECT status, preferably in the early stages of the ECT program.
  • Passion for teaching and a commitment to making a positive impact on students' lives.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school environments.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
