Tradewind are working with a special school in Birmingham which supports KS3 and KS4 students with autism and complex needs, with a diverse range of abilities. The school are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their friendly team, with both part-time and full-time opportunities available. The hours are 8:45am-3:45pm.

As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant specialising in autism, you will play a vital role in our inclusive educational environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

Providing one-on-one support to students with autism.

Implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour intervention strategies.

Creating a supportive, safe, and nurturing learning environment.

Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and parents to maximize each child's potential.

Fostering social and emotional development and helping students build essential life skills.

Requirements:

A genuine passion for working with children with autism.

Previous experience in special education, with a focus on autism (6 months minimum).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Patience, empathy, and a compassionate nature.
