This is a primarily desk-based role supporting the route-wide ecology lead. The position requires a flexible individual who can work across both design and construction delivery, focusing on technical standards, policy, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
-Provide technical, desk-based support to the route-wide ecology team.
-Manage tasks related to licensing, mitigation, and policy.
-Write reports and ensure compliance with technical standards and the ecological monitoring strategy.
-Update Ecological Site Management Plans (ESMPs) and address discrepancies.
-Independently manage and deliver assigned scopes of work.
Required Experience:
-A background in ecological consultancy is highly desirable.
-Strong experience in licensing and mitigation.
-Desk-based technical experience on HS2 is beneficial.
-Excellent report writing skills and attention to detail.
-A broad, generalist understanding of ecology rather than a specific species specialism.
