Your new companyWe are recruiting on behalf of a leading interdisciplinary consultancy specialising in innovative, sustainable, and efficient design solutions across various sectors, including commercial, residential, healthcare, and industrial projects. With a growing portfolio of exciting projects, they are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their team and contribute to their success. Your new roleAs a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will take the lead role in designing, developing, and delivering high-quality electrical engineering solutions. You will collaborate closely with clients, project teams, and other disciplines to ensure the successful execution of projects, from concept to completion. What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Chartered Engineer status or working towards it preferred)
  • Proven experience in electrical design within a consultancy or similar environment, including a strong portfolio of delivered projects
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., BS 7671, Building Regulations)
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and calculation tools (e.g., Electrical-OM, Amtech, Dialux)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead client meetings and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to articulate complicated issues between clients and highly skilled project teams
  • Willingness to learn and demonstrate high levels of diligence and organisational skills
