We are recruiting on behalf of a respected and forward-thinking consultancy based in the West Midlands, known for delivering high-quality building services design across a wide range of sectors. With a strong reputation for innovation and collaboration, their Building Services team is expanding and looking for a talented individual to join them in a senior capacity.
Your new role
As a Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer (or Associate), you'll play a key role in leading electrical design projects within a multidisciplinary team. You'll be responsible for developing and delivering technical solutions, liaising with clients and stakeholders, and ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards. This hybrid role offers flexibility with two days working from home per week, and includes an initial 6-month trial period.Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the design and specification of electrical systems.
  • Advising clients on tailored solutions to meet their needs.
  • Coordinating with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines.
  • Producing technical documentation and overseeing installations.
  • Managing project budgets, timelines, and resources.
  • Supporting junior engineers and contributing to business development.

What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you'll need:

  • A strong background in electrical design within the building services sector.
  • The ability to lead projects and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach.
