Job Title: Testing Electrician (Mobile - Covering Multiple Sites) Location: Birmingham (Covering Multiple Sites) Contract Type: Long-Term Contract Salary/Rate: Competitive (DOE)About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Testing Electrician to join our team on a long-term contract basis, covering multiple sites across Birmingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out electrical testing, inspection, and certification in line with current regulations. Key Responsibilities:- Conduct Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and periodic testing. - Perform fixed wire testing and inspection in commercial and industrial environments. - Identify and rectify faults, ensuring compliance with BS 7671 (18th Edition). - Complete all necessary certification and documentation accurately. - Work independently across multiple sites, managing workload efficiently. - Liaise with clients, contractors, and site managers professionally. Essential Qualifications & Experience:- City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent 2394/2395) - Inspection & Testing - 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)- JIB Gold Card (or equivalent) - Proven experience in testing and inspection within commercial/industrial settings. - Strong knowledge of fixed wire testing procedures. - Full UK driving licence (own transport preferred). Desirable Skills:- Experience with EICR software (e.g., NICEIC, NAPIT, or equivalent). - Additional certifications (e.g., PAT Testing, EV Charging, 2396 Design & Verification). - Knowledge of HV systems (advantageous but not essential).
