Join Our Team as a QC Technician!

Are you ready to make a difference in the life sciences industry? We are a leading organisation dedicated to optimising multiple myeloma, immune system disorders, and special protein diagnostics through 35 years of scientific leadership. We are currently seeking a dedicated QC Technician to join our dynamic team in Edgbaston, Birmingham!

Role Overview:

As a QC Technician, your primary responsibility will be to inspect, assemble, and package laboratory consumables, ensuring that all products meet our stringent specifications and quality standards. Your contribution will be vital in supporting research, diagnostic, and clinical environments.

Contract Details:

      • Contract Type: Temporary (12-month duration with potential extension)
      • Hourly Rate: 12.65
      • Working Pattern: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
      • Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday
      • Start Date: Mid December

What You'll Do:

  • Set up and operate packaging and labelling equipment efficiently.
  • Print labels using our approved label software.
  • Complete essential paperwork related to Packaging and Labelling, including Batch Record Sheets and Engineering Change Notices.
  • Develop a clear understanding of material process flow, from raw materials to production steps.
  • Assist in Quality Control through in-process inspections and finished goods inspections.
  • Cross-train and lend support to other departments as needed.
  • Perform calibration and preventative maintenance of labelling equipment.
  • Foster a constructive working environment by building positive relationships with co-workers.
  • Process label work orders and other necessary documentation.
  • Input downtime data and manage batch records.
  • Embrace any other duties as reasonably required.

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum of 1 year in a manufacturing, operations, production, or lab setting is required.
  • Experience in a cGMP environment is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to learn, understand, and follow instructions accurately.
  • Capability to multi-task and prioritise effectively.
