CFD Engineer

Orion recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Computational Fluid Dynamics Engineer (CFD) to join an innovative manufacturing company based in Birmingham.

CFD Engineer Shifts: Monday – Thursday 7:30 – 16:30 Friday 7:30 – 12:30

CFD Responsibilities:

  • Developing advanced CFD models to simulate real-world engineering problems.
  • Leading cross-functional design reviews and system model testing.
  • Collaborating with top-tier engineers to innovate and improve product design.
  • Driving continuous improvement and setting the standard for CFD excellence across IMI Critical Engineering.
  • Design optimisation
  • System functional and non-functional analysis
  • Investigate new technologies and stay on top of now product development

CFD Required experience:

  • Hands-on experience with STAR-CCM, ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM or similar software systems in a professional manufacturing environment.
  • Strong experience in simulation, testing and continuous improvement
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • A “can-do, will-do” attitude with a passion for problem-solving and innovation.
