About the Role

We are currently seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to provide development and quality support for our range of sensing products. Reporting to the CTO and/or the COO of the company, they will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

Specific Technical Requirements

We require an engineer with broad competency in digital electronics and embedded concepts and previous experience in a similar role.

Job role would include, but not be limited to, the following:

Initial work relating to advancing our first generation of sensor technology:

  • Development and verification of schematic designs and development of PCB artwork for new prototype designs. This is to be done to ensure tight electromagnetic control over analogue signal paths. We can provide assistance with any advanced analogue techniques, DSP and advanced mathematics. We use STM32 microcontrollers.
  • Hand assembly of prototypes ( if necessary )
  • Design of experiments and testing methods for validation of prototypes
  • Assist in the development of firmware and version control ( git/github )
  • Design for EMC compliance.
  • Ensure quality controls and compliance to the relevant ISO standards
  • Contribute to technical discovery, sharing constructive ideas and critique.
  • Support hazard identification and risk management systems.
  • From time to time, you will be required to work on other short projects related to automation and PLC control.
  • Additional work will be related to the development of our second generation of sensor technology and is likely to start in the medium term (3-6 months from now)
  • Assist in the development of AMD Zync processor systems based on reference designs.
  • Component selection based on availability, cost and life-span
  • VHDL or Verilog FPGA design using Xilinx IP cores.
