Salary: £36,000 – £43,000 (Dependent on experience, qualifications & training)
OTE: £45,000 +

About the Role
A fantastic opportunity for a highly experienced Security Engineer with a strong background in commercial security systems. Your work will focus primarily on CCTV, access control, and intruder systems, with fire alarm knowledge considered a bonus—not a requirement.
You’ll operate across Birmingham and the West Midlands, with no out-of-town stays or hotel work, offering real work-life balance.

Responsibilities – Security Engineer:
As a Security Engineer, your role will include:
- Installing commercial security systems to industry standards
- Servicing and maintaining CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems
- Commissioning new systems and ensuring full operational performance
- Participating in a 1-in-10 call-out rota (paid generously)
- Fault finding and diagnosing issues on a variety of commercial systems
- Providing a high level of customer service on client sites
- Ensuring all work meets industry regulations and internal procedures
- (Bonus) Supporting fire alarm-related tasks if experienced
Requirements – Security Engineer:
- Strong technical experience across commercial security systems
- Skilled with CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control
- Relevant qualifications and manufacturer training (desirable)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently across Birmingham & the West Midlands
- Full UK driving licence
- Fire alarm knowledge is a bonus, not essential
