Job Title: SIEM Security Engineer
Location: On-site - West Midlands
Salary: 54,000 - 64,000 (depending on experience)
Clearance Required: Must be eligible to undergo Security Clearance (SC)

Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, LogRhythm)
* Strong knowledge of the Elastic Stack (ElasticSearch, Kibana, etc.)
* Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Perl
* Excellent data visualisation and reporting skills
* Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and threat landscapes
* Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, ISO27001, NIST, Cyber Essentials)
* Analytical mindset with attention to detail
* Strong communication and documentation skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Passion for continuous learning and staying current with security trends

Key Responsibilities
* Conduct real-time security event monitoring and analysis
* Investigate and respond to security incidents at a deep technical level
* Design and maintain dashboards for effective data visualisation
* Produce high-quality documentation and incident reports
* Automate routine tasks using scripting languages
* Collaborate with internal teams to improve security operations and compliance
