Job Title: Principal Air Quality Consultant
Location: Birmingham
Salary: 55,000 - 70,000 + Benefits
A highly respected environmental consultancy is looking for a Principal Air Quality Consultant to lead its expanding team in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to deliver complex projects, mentor junior consultants, and play a key role in business development.
The successful Principal Air Quality Consultant will take responsibility for the management of a wide portfolio of projects, from transport and infrastructure to urban development and energy schemes. You will liaise with clients, regulators, and local authorities, while ensuring the highest technical standards and timely project delivery.

Duties for the role of Principal Air Quality Consultant include:
Leading the delivery of dispersion modelling, air quality impact assessments, and LAQM projects
Managing client relationships and supporting business development
Preparing and reviewing technical reports for major projects
Mentoring and developing junior team members
Contributing to bids and proposals to secure new work
Skills and experience required for the role of Principal Air Quality Consultant:
6+ years of consultancy or regulatory experience in air quality
Strong technical knowledge of ADMS, AERMOD, IAQM/EPUK guidance, and UK air quality policy
Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Geography, or related discipline
Chartered status (CEnv/IAQM) or working toward it
Full UK driving licence
