Job Summary -
As FP&A Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in partnering with the business to deliver insights and reporting that will help with strategic decision making and drive company growth in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
This role is ideal for someone with an eye for detail and analysis but who can also step back and see the bigger picture. You are naturally curious, great at building relationships, and passionate about using data and knowledge of the business to influence decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports, dashboards, and SaaS performance metrics for internal and external stakeholders.
- Variance Analysis: Perform monthly variance analysis on key P&L items, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and longer-term strategic planning processes
- Business Partnering: Work closely with departments such as Sales, Marketing, and Operations to understand business drivers and provide support.
- Data Analysis: Analyse financial and operational data to provide actionable insights that drive profitability and efficiency.
- Tools & Processes: Continuously assist in the improvement of FP&A, Finance and companywide processes and tools.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Support strategic finance initiatives, including pricing analysis, marketing initiatives, and performance reviews.
- Education and experience: Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 1-3 years in a FP&A, or related role, ideally in a SaaS or fast-paced business environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel and financial modelling. Experience with financial planning tools and BI platforms (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret and analyse complex financial data and translate findings into actionable Recommendations.
- Attention to Detail: Strong accuracy in numerical work, ensuring high-quality financial outputs.
- Communication: Clear communicator with the ability to present financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- Organisational Skills: Strong time management and ability to work on multiple priorities with tight deadlines.
- Problem-Solver: A natural problem-solver who is always looking for ways to improve processes, tools, and reporting.
- Teamwork: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally.
