Assistant Manager - Corporate International Tax

Our client's Tax team is friendly, diverse, and collaborative, working across the UK and internationally to deliver tailored solutions to businesses of all sizes. Their Corporate International Tax practice is a dynamic and growing area, offering exciting career opportunities as international tax continues to rise in importance.

The Midlands Corporate International Tax team is expanding and is now seeking an Assistant Manager to support in delivering complex advisory projects across a wide range of sectors. Clients include listed multinational groups, private equity-backed businesses, and privately owned companies with both UK and overseas headquarters.

The Role

  • Deliver high-quality corporate international tax advisory services (c. 60-70% advisory focus).
  • Support the preparation of UK tax computations and returns, working with the wider corporate tax team.
  • Contribute to drafting technical advice and reports, covering areas such as UK Hybrid Rules, Pillar 2, loan relationships, intangible assets, and tax due diligence.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the wider tax team (c. 30+) to provide seamless client service.
  • Develop knowledge and expertise in international tax while mentoring graduate trainees.

The skills and experience you will bring:

  • CTA and/or ACA/ICAS (or equivalent) exam qualified (or have completed all exams with qualifying time in progress).
  • A proactive attitude with a strong desire to learn and develop as a well-rounded tax advisor.
  • Interest in corporate and international tax issues affecting large, international businesses.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, practical technical advice.
  • Collaborative and supportive, keen to share knowledge with junior team members.
