My client is a well regarded FTSE listed business operating within the Construction Industry.
As a result of retirement from a long term member of staff, FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a Head of Finance / Finance Director Designate to join the business.
This is a key and progressive role looking after a high growth region on the East and West Midlands borders and will be supported by a long standing Divisional FD.
As a result of the above this role could be a ideal move for candidates already operating at Head of Finance or Finance Director Level or those operating as Finance Manager / Financial Controller seeking a step into a No 1 role for a region.
- Part of the SLT monitoring and optimising the companies performance within region
- Business Partner key business areas (Land, Commercial , Sales, Construction directors) and wider Divisional & Group Leadership Teams ensuring accurate and timely reporting
- Maintain close working relationships with the wider business to drive improvement and growth within the region.
- Monitoring, reviewing, and reporting on monthly project costs and work in progress
- Review and present monthly management accounts with variance commentary
- Treasury & Cash Flow management
- Preparation of business plans, budgets, and forecasts
- Overseeing the control and completion of the Profit & Loss, Balance sheet reconciliations and Cashflow
- Monitoring, reviewing, and monthly reporting on Development costs and work in progress
- Lead a small finance team of 4-5 staff responsible for management and transactional finance duties,
The ideal candidate will be Qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with PQE gained within the construction industry with sound demonstrated knowledge of CVR’s / CIS Etc.
Previous experience gained within the construction and house building industry is highly desirable.
This is a lead Finance role within the regional business unit and the ability to lead, guide, mentor and develop a small team of finance professionals is also required.

Market leading benefits coupled with a highly competitive bonus, and basic salary of up to £80,000 - £100,000 and Car (or £9k Allowance) and bonus of up to 50% of salary will be offered
