The OpportunityA respected mid-tier consultancy with a national footprint is expanding its specialist Valuations team as part of wider growth across the business. With a strong reputation for technical excellence and a progressive, flexible culture, this firm is now looking to appoint a dynamic Manager or recently promoted Senior Manager into their established teams in either Birmingham or Manchester.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a thriving valuations offering, supporting a diverse client base spanning fast-growth private companies, private equity-backed ventures, and multinational groups. You'll be joining a highly experienced leadership team who value technical capability, commercial awareness, and the development of their people.

What You'll BringWhether you're stepping up or looking to consolidate your experience in a more visible and varied role, you'll ideally have:

  • A minimum of 4 years' experience (Manager level) or 6+ years (Senior Manager level) in UK tax with direct exposure to valuation work

  • Hands-on experience preparing valuations for a variety of purposes: tax-advantaged share plans, corporate reorganisations, ERS, CGT planning, probate valuations, and more

  • A solid grasp of valuation methodologies relevant to multiple share types (e.g. ordinary, growth, ratchet shares)

  • Confidence working directly with clients and intermediaries

  • A good working knowledge of key tax issues surrounding equity reward and ERS

  • Experience supporting due diligence projects, drafting risk assessments, and advising on tax implications of share incentives

  • CTA and/or ACA qualified (preferred but not essential)

  • Strong project management skills and a keen interest in mentoring junior team members
