Are you an experienced Paraplanner looking to take the next step in your career with a forward-thinking financial planning firm? We’re looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team in Solihull, providing vital technical and administrative support to financial advisers.

You will be joining a national IFA with offices all across the UK.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives behind the scenes—conducting research, drafting financial plans, and helping simplify complex financial information to support both advisers and clients in making informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Research & Analysis

  • Research a wide range of financial products, including pensions, investments, and insurance.
  • Analyse market trends, fund performance, and strategies to support adviser recommendations.
  • Conduct cash flow modelling, tax planning, and retirement projections.
  • Maintain and manage accurate client data using financial planning tools.
  • Update plans in collaboration with advisers as client or market circumstances evolve.

Suitability Reports

  • Draft high-quality suitability reports tailored to each client’s needs, objectives, and risk profile.
  • Ensure recommendations meet all regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Model financial planning scenarios to help advisers present potential strategies to clients.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure all reports and documentation adhere to financial regulations and AML requirements.
  • Maintain audit-ready records and proactively identify compliance risks.

Adviser & Client Support

  • Collaborate with advisers to provide technical support and answer queries.
  • Engage with clients when clarification or additional information is needed.
  • Assist with applications for more complex financial cases and liaise with providers where necessary.

Professional Development

  • Keep up to date with changes in regulations, products, and best practices.
  • Continue professional education, with support to progress toward Level 6 qualifications.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven experience preparing cash flow models and financial plans
  • Solid understanding of tax implications, investment strategies, and financial products
  • Experience working closely with advisers and clients
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Level 4 qualified (or equivalent), with active progression toward Level 6
  • Excellent technical knowledge and familiarity with financial compliance standards
