We're looking for an experienced Paraplanner to join a forward-thinking and supportive financial planning team based in Birmingham. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality advice support while working in a collaborative, client-focused environment.This role offers hybrid working, with time split between home and our Birmingham office.What You'll Be Doing:

  • Prepare and maintain detailed client files and annual review packs
  • Build and analyse cash-flow models to support financial planning strategies
  • Draft clear and compliant suitability reports and financial recommendations
  • Conduct independent and collaborative research to identify suitable financial solutions
  • Assist planners in comparing and analysing products and investment options
  • Liaise with clients, as well as their legal and tax professionals where needed
  • Oversee the implementation of advice, ensuring full compliance throughout
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues

What We're Looking For:Knowledge & Skills

  • In-depth understanding of the financial planning process
  • Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, IHT, protection & tax planning
  • Excellent written communication skills, particularly in suitability report writing
  • Awareness of current market trends, regulatory changes, and product updates

Experience

  • Experience in a paraplanning role
  • Previous experience in a financial planning or wealth management firm (minimum 1 year)
  • Familiarity with cash-flow modelling tools is highly desirable
  • Qualifications
  • Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent Level 4 qualification)
  • Willingness to undergo background checks (DBS, bankruptcy, etc.)
