What you will need
- A passion for ecology and solid working knowledge of natural environment and wildlife legislation.
- Experience in UKHab surveys, Preliminary Ecological Assessment, Ecological Impact Assessment, Habitats Regulations Assessment, and Biodiversity Net Gain assessments.
- Strong bat or ornithological skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Lead ecological assessments and habitat design for nature recovery and development projects.
- Develop innovative ecological mitigation and compensation strategies.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and engage with stakeholders and clients.
- Deliver high-quality ecological reports in line with current guidance and best practice.
- Take ownership of projects, manage tasks, and mentor junior staff.
- Background in ecological assessments, mitigation, and habitat design.
- Expertise in protected species surveys, mitigation, and licensing.
- Solid understanding of bidding, client relationships, and delivering projects from start to finish.
- Membership of CIEEM or equivalent, with the ability to achieve Chartership (CEnv or CEcol).
- Ideal base location: Birmingham. However, the role can be based anywhere in the UK with a hybrid working arrangement.
